Colloquio telefonico tra il Presidente Draghi e il Segretario Generale Onu Guterres

Il Presidente del Consiglio, Mario Draghi, ha avuto oggi pomeriggio una conversazione telefonica con il Segretario Generale delle Nazioni Unite, Antonio Guterres.
Il colloquio si è incentrato principalmente sugli ultimi sviluppi e sulle implicazioni della crisi afghana. Sono state in tale contesto approfondite le prospettive dell’azione della Comunità internazionale nei diversi fori, incluso il G20, convenendo sul ruolo centrale che le Nazioni Unite possono svolgere in relazione soprattutto all’assistenza umanitaria a favore della popolazione afghana.

Prime Minister Draghi had a phone conversation this afternoon with the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres.  The call focused mainly on the latest developments and the implications of the Afghan crisis. In this context, the two leaders explored the prospects for the action of the International Community in different fora, including G20, and agreed on the key role of the United Nations especially  with reference to the humanitarian assistance to the afghan population.
